Here is your rundown of upcoming programs, deadlines, and drop-in opportunities.


🧸 For the Kids: Fun & Fundamentals

Get the youth moving with programs designed for socialization and skill-building.

Wacky Wednesday

A perfect mid-week break for toddlers and preschoolers to play and socialize.

  • Ages: 1 – 6
  • When: Every Wednesday, Jan 14 – March 11, 2026
  • Time: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Location: Bookcliff Activity Center

Iddy Biddy Sports

A fun, non-competitive introduction to sports like basketball, baseball, soccer, football, and kickball.

  • Ages: 4 – 6
  • Dates: April 1 – April 20 (Wednesday Evenings)
  • Location: Bookcliff Activity Center

Biddy Basketball

Kids learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship while developing physical skills.

  • Ages: 6 – 8
  • Dates: March 30 – April 20 (Monday Evenings)
  • Location: Bookcliff Activity Center

🏆 Adult Leagues & Clinics

Adult Flag Football

Gather your team and get ready for the gridiron!

  • Deadlines: Registration ends March 2.
  • Schedule: Pre-Season Tournament on 3/7; League begins 3/9.
  • Location: Canyon View Park

Pickleball Clinics (Lincoln Park)

Sharpen your skills at the Lincoln Park Pickleball Complex.

  • Beginner Dates: 2/23, 3/9, 3/21, 4/18
  • Intermediate Dates: 3/21 & 4/18
  • Registration Deadline: March 17

👟 Drop-In Sports & Classes

No long-term commitment? No problem. Drop in for a game or try a new class.

Drop-In Pickleball (Live until March 13)

  • Bookcliff Activity Center:
    • Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri @ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
    • Saturdays @ 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Lincoln Park Barn:
    • Mon, Wed, Fri @ 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Drop-In Sports (Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis)

  • Location: Bookcliff Activity Center
  • Times: Tuesdays (5:30-8:30 PM) & Sundays (1:00-4:00 PM)
  • Duration: Runs until May 5, 2026

Instructional Classes

  • Line Dancing: Classes range from "101" to Intermediate at the Lincoln Park Barn.
  • Fencing: Ages 8+ on Thursday evenings at Bookcliff Activity Center.
  • Hula Hoop Fitness: A unique way to stay fit! (Check registration for details).

🏊 Aquatics & Employment

Now Hiring Lifeguards!

Join the team at the pool. If selected, the City covers the cost of your lifeguard training courses.

  • Training Dates:
    • March 16-20 (D51 Spring Break)
    • March 27-29
    • April 10-12

Orchard Mesa Pool Schedule

  • Ages 11-14 Program: Feb 3 – Feb 26 (Tue/Thu)
  • Ages 15+ Program: Late Feb/Early March dates (4:15 - 5:45 PM)
  • Open Swim:
    • All Ages: Tue & Thu Evenings
    • Ages 14+: Sat & Sun
