A nationally touring indie folk-rock band is making a summer stop in downtown Grand Junction.

The Crane Wives, a Grand Rapids-based band known for big harmonies, emotional lyrics, and high-energy live shows, will perform Saturday, June 27, at Mesa Theater on Main Street.

The Grand Junction show is part of the band’s 2026 U.S. tour, which includes stops in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Boulder, and other cities across the West.

Event Details

Where: Mesa Theater, 538 Main Street, Grand Junction

The Crane Wives first emerged from the 2010s folk boom, but their newer sound has moved into a bigger, more electric rock direction. Their music still leans on layered vocals and folk storytelling, but the live show brings more drive, volume, and momentum.

For listeners who like harmony-heavy indie rock, sharp songwriting, and songs that build with emotion, this is one of the more notable touring acts coming through Grand Junction this summer.

A Growing National Audience

The Crane Wives have built a large following through touring, streaming, and word-of-mouth discovery. The band has more than 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a strong audience on TikTok, helping its music reach far beyond its Michigan roots.

Their latest full-length album, Beyond Beyond Beyond, released in 2024, pushed the band further from its earlier folk sound and into a grittier, more expansive direction.

The group’s current lineup includes Emilee Petersmark, Kate Pillsbury, Ben Zito, and Dan Rickabus. Together, they create the band’s mix of driving rhythm, electric guitar, and layered vocal harmonies.

The Grand Junction stop falls between the band’s Salt Lake City and Boulder dates, giving Western Slope fans a chance to catch the show without a Front Range drive.

Tickets are available through Mesa Theater and the band’s official tour listing
