Summer has officially arrived on the Western Slope, and with it comes one of Colorado’s oldest and most deeply rooted community traditions. The Glenwood Springs Chamber Foundation is welcoming locals and visitors alike to the 129th Annual Strawberry Days Festival, running from Friday, June 19, through Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Two Rivers Park.

The free, three-day festival brings a vibrant mix of live music, interactive family events, local artisans, and local culinary favorites to the heart of the mountains.

A Food Court Packed with Local Flavor

This year's Strawberry Days Food Court features an array of comfort classics and local specialties to keep festival-goers fueled all weekend. Hungry attendees can track down festival staples like the famous giant turkey legs from the Hillbilly Grill and Woody’s, or sample local Western Slope favorites.

The 2026 vendor lineup highlights include:

  • Local & Regional Mainstays: Sizzling street tacos from Armando's Tacos and Taqueria el Yaqui, slow-smoked local favorites from Slow Groovin BBQ, and custom pies from Mama’s Pierogi.
  • Sweet Treats & Refreshments: Fresh options from Be Crepeful, artisan ice cream from Sundae, cooling treats from Colorado Snow! and Dippin Dots, alongside festival staples from Old Tyme Kettle Korn and the Old Tyme Lemonade Stand.
  • Community Stands: The Glenwood Springs Youth Hockey booth will also be operating on-site as a local fundraiser.

True to the festival's 129-year-old roots, the most anticipated culinary tradition takes place immediately following Saturday morning's parade, where volunteers will serve free fresh strawberries and ice cream to the community.

Community Traditions & Companion Events

The weekend is anchored by several long-running companion events organized by community partners that stretch across the city:

  • The Strawberry Shortcut (Sunday Morning): Runners will hit the pavement for the historic 5K, 10K, and 1-mile Shortcut races, a local fitness tradition since 1978.
  • Family Fest: Located right on the park grounds, the festival features dedicated kids' entertainment including interactive performances by the Salida Circus, rides on the Rocky Mountain Mini Train, and a massive dragon bounce house.
  • Stories in the Sky Drone Show (Saturday Night, 9:10 p.m.): In a special addition for 2026, the America 250 / Colorado 150 Commission is stopping in Glenwood Springs to host a massive traveling laser drone show, lighting up the sky over Two Rivers Park following the headlining musical set by Cash'd Out.

Planning Your Weekend

The main festival grounds at Two Rivers Park open at 12:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers remind attendees that pets and outside alcohol are strictly prohibited inside the park grounds. To push forward local sustainability initiatives, vendors will not be selling bottled water this year; attendees are strongly encouraged to bring empty, reusable water bottles to utilize the four free Alpine Bank water-refilling stations positioned throughout the park.
