The Patterson and 25 Road signal is off Saturday, the westbound US 6 closure through Palisade is off COtrip's list, Rifle closes East Seventh Street through Wednesday, US 50 at Blue Mesa gets 20-minute holds, and Hanging Lake Tunnel holds run through Oct. 31.
The emergency westbound US 6 closure through Palisade is off COtrip's list, the Patterson and 25 Road signal goes dark one more Saturday, Rifle closes East Seventh Street for paving, and US 50 toward Gunnison gets 20-minute holds. Here's what's under construction in Mesa, Garfield and Montrose counties this weekend and the week of Oct. 19.
By Western Slope Trellis
The weekend's biggest headache is Patterson Road and 25 Road, where the signal shuts off Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while crews switch on the new one, and both roads drop to one lane each way. Last week's headline closure, westbound US 6 through Palisade, was no longer listed on COtrip Friday morning.
Rifle has East Seventh Street closed through Wednesday for repaving. Drivers heading from Montrose toward Gunnison should plan for daily 20-minute holds on US 50 at Blue Mesa Reservoir, Monday through Thursday. And westbound I-70 keeps its holds of up to 10 minutes at the Hanging Lake Tunnel through Oct. 31.
Everything below comes from the city, county or state agency running the job, current as of Friday morning, Oct. 16, when we also checked COtrip for state highway closures.

Patterson and 25 Road: no signal Saturday
Patterson Road and 25 Road run on flaggers Saturday, Oct. 17, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while crews install the new mast arm, energize the new signal and remove the old one, according to the city's Four Canyons Parkway page. Each road drops to one lane in each direction, and left turns from westbound Patterson onto southbound 25 Road are not allowed, per the city's weekly traffic update posted Friday. If you can go around it Saturday, do.
Four Canyons Parkway between F½ Road and Flat Top Lane was targeted to open Oct. 9; the city has not posted whether it did.
