Drivers across Grand Junction should plan for multiple road closures, lane shifts, and detours throughout the week of May 11, as several city and state projects continue or ramp up.

City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Patterson Road Sidewalk Project (24 ½ Rd. to 25 ½ Rd.)

• Shoulder closures and lane shifts at Patterson Rd. and 25 Rd.
• Use caution and follow posted traffic control
• Expect delays and allow extra travel time


Four Canyons Parkway Project

• Intersection of 25 Rd. and Patterson Rd. under limited closure
• Closure began Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m. and continues through Monday, May 11 at 7 a.m.
• Single lanes remain open throughout

• 25 Rd. closed from Blichmann to Waite Ave. until early May
• 24 ¾ Rd. closed from Apex Ave. to northbound traffic

D 1/2 Road Capacity Improvements

• D ½ Rd. closed between 29 Rd. and 30 Rd.
• No access from San Juan to D ½ Rd.

• North sidewalk closed between 28 1/4 Rd. and 28 3/4 Rd.

Crosby Avenue Improvements

• Crosby Ave. closed from West Main St. to American Way through September
• Open to local traffic only


Aspen Street Waterline Replacement

• Road closed between Unaweep Ave. and Highway 50 during working hours
• Detours in place

Hermosa Safe Routes to School Project

• Hermosa Ave. closed between 12th St. and 13th St.

• Local traffic access only

CDOT I-70B Phase 7 Construction

• 5th St. reduced to one lane between South Ave. and Colorado Ave.
• Lane and shoulder closures on Ute Ave. and Pitkin Ave. between 3rd and 6th Streets
• Ongoing closures on Ute Ave.
• 4th St. reduced to one lane between Colorado Ave. and Pitkin Ave.
• Business and residential access remains open


CDOT CO 340 Resurfacing Project

• Single right lane closures on the eastbound bridge
• Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday


South Broadway and 23 Road Roundabout

• New project begins May 11
• Additional impacts expected as construction gets underway
