Drivers on 25 Road will need to work around several closures during the week of Oct. 5, while downtown construction narrows sections of Fourth and Fifth streets. Westlake Park also loses its parking lot for maintenance starting Monday, though the park will stay open.
25 Road and Four Canyons Parkway
Several restrictions affect travel through the Four Canyons Parkway construction area:
- 25 Road is closed between Flat Top Lane/Foresight Circle and Blichmann Avenue, and remains closed between Blichmann Avenue and F ½ Road.
- F ¼ Road is closed to through traffic between 25 Road and Zenith Lane. Residents can still access their homes.
- Northbound traffic on 24 ¾ Road can no longer pass through Four Canyons Parkway.
The stretch of 25 Road between Patterson Road and Flat Top Lane remains open to two-way traffic on a gravel surface. Drive cautiously and follow posted signs and directions from traffic crews.
Crosby Avenue
Crosby Avenue will be closed between West Main Street and American Way for improvements. Access to businesses and local properties will be maintained; follow the posted detours.
D ½ Road and San Juan Street
D ½ Road will be closed between 29 Road and 30 Road, with local access maintained.
The San Juan Street intersection at D ½ Road will also be closed to traffic entering or leaving San Juan. To reach San Juan Street, use 29 ½ Road from D Road and follow the detour.
Downtown: Ute, Pitkin, Fourth and Fifth
CDOT’s Ute and Pitkin improvements project will bring lane restrictions to several downtown streets:
- Fifth Street will be reduced to one lane between South Avenue and Colorado Avenue.
- Fourth Street will be reduced to one lane between Colorado Avenue and Pitkin Avenue.
- Ute and Pitkin avenues will have single-lane and shoulder closures between Third and Sixth streets.
Business and residential access will remain open, along with parking and alley access.

Broadway and 23 Road
Alcove Drive is closed at 23 Road for the roundabout project and will remain closed for the duration of construction. Use Vista Grande Road or Columbine Drive to access 23 Road.
Broadway, also designated CO 340, will remain open to two-way traffic with a 35 mph speed limit through the work zone. Expect delays. Sidewalk access will be maintained, but pedestrians should stay clear of active work areas.
Westlake Park parking
Westlake Park’s parking lot will close for maintenance beginning Monday, Oct. 5, through the middle of October. The park itself will remain open.
Parking is available on West Orchard Avenue and Poplar Drive.
