Veterans Day falls on a Wednesday this year, so Grand Junction is honoring local veterans a few days early with a Saturday block party and parade on Main Street. Add a Bon Jovi album night at the Avalon, a three-day Native American market at the Convention Center and a packed Saturday in Montrose, and there is plenty to do close to home.
