City of Montrose Deputy City Manager Ann Morgenthaler has been appointed to the Colorado City & County Management Association (CCCMA) Board of Directors for 2026, where she will represent local government professionals statewide as part of Colorado Women Leading Government (CWLG).

Morgenthaler’s appointment places a Western Slope leader at the center of a statewide effort to strengthen public partnerships, expand leadership development, and elevate women serving in Colorado’s city and county management roles.

Supporting Leadership Across Colorado

The CCCMA provides city and county managers with opportunities to collaborate, learn, and build networks to better serve their communities. Its CWLG subcommittee focuses on advancing women in local government leadership and increasing visibility for their contributions across the state.

“I am grateful for this opportunity to serve on the CCCMA Board and especially proud to represent the mission of Colorado Women Leading Government,” Morgenthaler shared. “I am eager to contribute to the CCCMA's efforts in career development and ensuring effective, collaborative service to all Colorado communities.”

Montrose City Manager Bill Bell praised the appointment, noting that Morgenthaler’s service reflects both professional excellence and strong dedication to the Montrose community.

A Career Rooted in Colorado Communities

A Colorado native, Morgenthaler holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and has served in leadership roles in Silverton, Ouray, and Telluride before joining the City of Montrose.

She joins fellow appointees Mike Bennett, Gillian Laycock, Gloria Kaasch-Buerger, and Kara Silbernagel on the 2026 CCCMA Board of Directors.
