The holidays can be a joyful time, but for many older adults in our community, the season can also feel isolating. Mesa County RSVP is working to change that through its annual Senior Engagement Wish List, a holiday giving effort that provides thoughtful gifts to seniors throughout the Grand Valley who might otherwise go without.

This year, the need is greater than ever, and community support will ensure every senior receives a gift filled with comfort, care, and connection.

The absolute deadline for donations is Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

Items Still Needed

Mesa County RSVP is reporting shortages in several key items. If you’re able to contribute, the following gifts are especially needed:

  • Coffee mugs (still short 500)
  • 🧦 Men’s & Women’s Socks
  • 🧲 Men’s fuzzy slipper socks
  • 🧴 Luxury bath soaps & small lotions
  • 🧤 Gloves, ChapStick & lip balms
  • 🍬 Sugar-free candies & snacks
  • 🪥 Toothbrushes, toothpaste & deodorants

Even one or two items makes a meaningful difference.

Give a Gift, Share Some Holiday Warmth

For many seniors, these donated items are more than practical necessities. They are reminders that their community sees them, values them, and cares about their well-being.

If you’re able to give, please consider picking up an extra mug, pair of socks, or small comfort item the next time you shop. Together, we can make sure every senior across the Grand Valley receives a gift filled with warmth and kindness this season.
