Drivers across Grand Junction should plan for closures, lane reductions, and detours as multiple city and state projects continue. Here’s what to expect.

City of Grand Junction Projects With Travel Restrictions

Four Canyons Parkway Project
25 Road is closed from Blichmann Avenue to Waite Avenue through early May.
24 ¾ Road is closed from Apex Avenue to northbound traffic.
Temporary roadway in place, use caution.
Detours are in place.

D 1/2 Road Capacity Improvements
D 1/2 Road is closed from 29 Road to 30 Road.
San Juan access to D 1/2 Road is closed. Use 29 ½ Road south to D Road.
Open to local traffic only.

Patterson Road at Matchett Park
Sidewalk along the north side of Patterson Road is closed between 28 1/4 Road and 28 3/4 Road.
Pedestrian detours are in place for the remainder of the project.
Expect lane shifts. Alternate routes may be advised.

Non-City Projects With Travel Restrictions

CDOT I-70B Phase 7 Construction
5th Street is reduced to one lane between South Avenue and Colorado Avenue.
Single lane and shoulder closures are in place on Ute Avenue and Pitkin Avenue between 3rd Street and 6th Street.
4th Street is reduced to a single lane between Colorado Avenue and Pitkin Avenue.
Ute Avenue closures are ongoing.
All business and residential access will remain open.

CDOT CO 340 Resurfacing Project
Single right lane closures are in place on the eastbound bridge.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

South Broadway and 23 Road Roundabout
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of May 4.

Expect delays across multiple corridors. Allow extra travel time, follow posted detours, and use caution in active work zones.
