As the year wraps up, Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation is rolling into winter with festive celebrations, youth athletics, arts programming, aquatics opportunities, wellness events, and expanded seasonal recreation options. Here’s a look at what’s happening across the Community Center, Community Art Center, and Ice Rink as we head into the New Year.


Noon Year’s Eve Celebration — December 31, 12–3 p.m.

Families are invited to ring in 2026 a little early at this free, community-wide celebration at the Glenwood Springs Community Center. The afternoon features:

  • A lively countdown and giant balloon drop
  • Music and dancing
  • A designated Chill Zone for low-stimulation relaxation
  • Accessible viewing areas

All ages are welcome to join the fun and start the year with community spirit.


Athletics & Outdoor Recreation

Winter basketball programs are gearing up for youth athletes of all skill levels. Registration is open now at GlenwoodRecSports.com.

Young musicians can learn, collaborate, and perform using professional-grade equipment in a highly social, creativity-driven space.

Mixed Media Workshops
